Two jump to their deaths in separate cases

-

PETALING JAYA: A heated argument with her estranged husband led to a woman jumping from the fifth floor of a condominium in Subang Jaya.

The 30-year-old woman, who worked as a saleswoman, had just arrived at her condo parking space with her husband after a meal on Saturday.

However, things turned sour when the couple started discussing their marital status.

“They were separated for about a year but according to the husband, the woman did not want to be separated. That led the woman to jump to her death,” said Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohammad Azlin Sadari.

He added that the mother of two was found dead by a security guard at 2.20am yesterday.

Her 31-year-old husband tried to stop her from jumping but failed.

“Investigations revealed that there was no criminal element involved in the case,” he said.

It is learnt that the couple’s children are staying with the woman’s mother in Johor.

In another case, a man jumped to his death from the fourth floor of a shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur after texting goodbye to his brother.

The deceased, 22, from Kajang, went to the mall with his brother to do some shopping on Saturday night.

The brother, who is a policeman, had gone to pay his phone bill and returned to their car on the fourth floor to wait for him.

Instead, he received a text message from his brother saying that he wanted to kill himself.

Shortly after, around 11pm, the man’s body was found near one of the mall’s entrances.
