Human bones found in garden

Remains were of a person who died a long time ago

A HUMAN skull and bone remains were found in a garden near Sungai Lendu in Kampung Lendu Hilir, Alor Gajah reports Kosmo! It is learnt that the skeletal remains were discovered while the garden was being mowed.

Alor Gajah OCPD, Superinten­dent A. Asmadi Abd Aziz said his officers were informed about the find at 2pm on Sunday.

“The bones are believed to be the calf and shoulder of a person.

“Nothing else was found at the site which is around 500m away from the Lengdu-Alor Gajah main road,” he said.

From the conditions it is believed the victim died a long time ago and could not be identified.

Supt Asmadi said early investigat­ions showed that the garden belonged to a woman staying in Nilai, Negri Sembilan, and the owner was being tracked down to help in investigat­ions while the skull and bones were transferre­d to Hospital Melaka. > Berita Harian reported that an engineer, who gave up two lucrative job offers to concentrat­e on her nasi lemak business, is making waves on social media.

Siti Hajjar Ahmad, 24, who received her Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineerin­g at the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) convocatio­n on Saturday, recently turned down two job offers to become an engineer and an accountant.

“I turned down the job offers because I wanted to increase my business knowledge before I looked for a suitable job next year.

“Even though this business (selling nasi lemak) is small, the satisfacti­on of seeing customers enjoying my hard work is hard to describe,” she said.

Siti Hajjar received her degree from UTHM pro-chancellor Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa, who is also Chief Secretary to the Government. > Actress Erin Malek confirmed that she was pregnant with her second child and had just passed the second trimester, reported Harian Metro.

Erin said she and her husband did not expect her to be pregnant so quickly as their eldest child Mohamed Faliq Mohamed Farriz was about to turn one.

“Thank God, my family is growing. We only planned for another child when Faliq has turned one.

“Before this, I was supposed to give birth to twins but only one could be saved. Now Allah SWT has made up for that loss with this pregnancy,” she said.
