Vernacular school pupils can appeal to skip remove class

-

PUPILS from vernacular schools who failed in the UPSR Bahasa Melayu papers can appeal to their schools to skip remove class, Sin Chew Daily reported.

They can use their Year Four to Year Six BM results showing that they passed the subject, when submitting the appeal.

According to the Education Ministry website, the primary schools must set up a committee headed by headmasters to look into the appeals filed by the pupils before submitting the list to the ministry, which will make the final decision.

For pupils to go directly to Form One, they have to obtain a minimum C grade for their UPSR BM papers.

The remove class is aimed to improve BM competency of pupils before being allowed into Form One.
