> Serious problem

I fully support the call for immediate action on the huge presence of Africans in Damansara Perdana. If this is not taken seriously, this middle-upper class area could turn into an African ghetto.

> Consider moving

SMEs which currently face shortage of workers should consider opening manufacturing plants in Myanmar or Indonesia which have large pools of labour.

> Include public caning

Mandatory public caning for people convicted of corruption would be the best deterrent. – Legal mind

> Disgrace to the title

Many Datuks are in the limelight for the wrong reasons (corruption, cheating, kidnapping, sowing seeds of discord, just to name a few). We are often reminded that no one is above the law but some think they are untouchable. Do we have to wait for something to happen before we can charge them? They are a disgrace to their title. – HM Tan

> Neither yellow nor red

Some people are stocking up food and avoiding family outings for fear of unrest during the rallies. Violence can shatter racial harmony and is not a Malaysian way of life. Voice your dissatisfaction through the ballot box. Do not disrupt the peace in KL at the expense of others. We’re neither yellow nor red. – Karen & friends.

> Arrest the weight

The 10,000 obese cops need to abstain from oily, fatty and sugary food. No more teh tarik and roti canai at night for them. Eating more oats, fruits and veggies plus doing vigorous exercise like brisk walking or jogging daily should make them lose weight effectively. – Dr Zhivago

> Give a signal

Drivers, it is your duty to signal when you want to make a turn on the road. Accidents can happen without warning.

> Listen to warning

If the Bomba or another authority gives the warning to leave your homes during floods, please listen to them. Your lives are very important.

> Cheer up

UPSR results are out. Congratulations to those who passed with flying colours. For those who did not do so well, don’t give up. It’s not the end of the road. Parents should also motivate their children to do better.

> Kudos to MACC

It is heartening to note that the efforts by MACC in its fight against the scourge of corruption are gaining momentum by the day. The recent arrest of an individual from a GLC purportedly with ill-gotten gains of RM39mil proves the MACC is serious. We wish the MACC every success in their undertakings. – Datuk Wee Beng Gee
