Aubameyang explains his push-ups

DORTMUND: Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang celebrated his winning goal against Bayern Munich with three pushups, leaving fans at the stadium and those watching at home perplexed.

Now he has explained the mystery: French rapper Gradur was at the match.

Still confused? One of Gradur’s songs has the word “push-ups” in its title.

Aubameyang says: “A good friend of mine, a rapper from France, was at the stadium. Gradur has written a song about push-ups and that was the reason for the celebration.”

The flamboyant Gabon striker has 12 goals this season and shares the top scorer list with Anthony Modeste of Cologne.

Dortmund’s 1-0 win was also Bayern’s first loss of the season. — AP
