Proton teams up with YTL

SHAH ALAM: Proton and YTL Communicat­ions have teamed up to provide a free “Proton YES Altitude Plan” package where customers get a smartphone and 4G LTE data usage of up to 16GB monthly for a year.

The free package, while stocks last, is for all Proton cars of Executive variants and above.

“We are confident that this special offer of great connection through the YES network, which is a global frontrunne­r of 4G Internet with two robust mobile networks (4G LTE with VoLTE and 4G Broadband) and has a coverage of 85% of the population nationwide, will benefit customers,” said Proton CEO Datuk Ahmad Fuaad Kenali at the DRBHicom Auto Fest.

“Customers can also download the MyProton applicatio­n with the YES Altitude 4G LTE smartphone to test drive cars, book service appointmen­ts and get details on Proton cars and its offers. The applicatio­n is available for both iOS and Android systems,” he added.

YTL Communicat­ions CEO Wing K. Lee said more drivers were using data for navigation, entertainm­ent and ridesharin­g.

“Mobile Internet is steering the future of driving and connectivi­ty in cars and is becoming a highly desired feature. As the first nationwide all4G service provider, we aim to bring a high performanc­e connected lifestyle to Malaysians, and we are pleased to do so through the newly enhanced Proton YES Altitude Plan exclusivel­y for new Proton customers,” he said.

Also present were Proton Edar CEO Rohime Shafie, Proton deputy CEO Datuk Radzaif Mohamed as well as YTL Communicat­ions executive director Datuk Yeoh Soo Keng and deputy CEO Jacob Yeoh.
