A1: As with most years, we are optimistic that we will see growth both in terms of inbound tourism to Siem Reap and more specifically golf tourism. The past year has been challenging for a number of external factors yet we can still draw on many positives. In 2017, we will strive to further improve our product and services and build on the awards and successes of 2016. We look forward to introoducing more exciting events and initiaatives in the coming year to compplement our current calendar of events.e Junior golf and grassrootts development remains high on our list of priorities. Lastt year we were appointed as the hoost venue of the Ladies European TTour Asian Qualifying School for a teerm of three years, which will ggo a long way in enhancing the profile of Angkor GR and Siem Reap as a leading golf destination in the Asia

Pacific.

A2: As a PGA pro, the growth and development of the game is always something I try to follow closely and Influence whenever possible. It’s crucial for the industry and long-term growth (and survival of some golf clubs) to see more youngsters and beginners introduced to the game. We need to find new and exciting ways to make golf more appealing to the so-called ‘millennials’. That may come in the form of 6 hole courses, new game formats, simulators and relaxed rules and regulationsg in some cases/ environments. I think thhe Professional Tours are in a healthy state and as a longterm resident in Asiia I am excited to see the continued riser of professional golf in the region. TheT female pros are completely domminating the game and I don’t think itt will be long before we see more Asiann male pros at the top of the world rrankings, claiming Major titles. I also think it woulld be good for the gamme to see Tiger Wooods stay healthy and get back innto the winners’ ccircle in 2017.
