Child care centre worker charged

SHAH ALAM: A child care centre employee was charged in a Sessions Court here with abusing and injuring a three-year-old boy.

Norsyafiqah Anis Mohamad Ahpandi, 23, is alleged to have injured the boy’s left cheek.

She allegedly committed the offence at Taska Dunia Kita in No 1, Jalan Aman Suria U17/47, Section 17, Aman Putri, here between 4.30pm and 5.30pm on Feb 17.

DPP Naliatul Huzaimi Ab Rasip asked for a RM20,000 bail in one surety.

In asking for a lower bail, Norsyafiqah’s counsel Siti Rohaya Mohd Tajuddin said her client was the sole breadwinner.

Siti Rohaya told the court her client earned RM1,000 a month and supported her three siblings who were still schooling. Norsyafiqah paid the bail after it was set at RM10,000.
