Feud worsens between PAS’ Nasuruddin and Amanah’s Husam
KOTA BARU: The hostility between Kelantan PAS information chief Datuk Nasuruddin Daud and former party leader Datuk Husam Musa is getting worse.
In a Facebook post by PAS Youth chief Nik Abduh Nik Aziz, Nasuruddin was quoted as referring to a gatecrashing incident as “bringing in pigs to destroy the trees”.
“Tok Guru (the late Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat) left us a beautiful orchard and told us to make sure pigs were not allowed to enter, but instead he (Husam) exited the party and brought in pigs to destroy the trees,” he was quoted as saying in the Kelantanese dialect.
On Monday night Husam, who joined Amanah last year after being sacked from PAS, gatecrashed a ceramah organised to humiliate him for criticising the party.
The Salor assemblyman turned up unexpectedly at the talk titled Husam lari dari debat baiah (“Husam runs away from a debate on religious oaths of allegiance”) and sat one row behind the invited speakers and Nasuruddin.
Husam’s presence, along with that of his Amanah follower at the ceramah, almost caused a commotion.
In an interview with an online news portal, Nasuruddin claimed that Husam was giving excuses to defer the debate and he said that he “would not entertain an idiot like him again”.
When shown the Facebook post, Husam said he believed that Nasuruddin was referring to him and accused the state exco member of badmouthing a fellow Muslim.
He said he would write a letter to Kelantan PAS commissioner Datuk Ahmad Yakob, asking for an apology for “the use of my name in the ceramah title”.
He also wants an apology because “the event was meant to discredit me and portray me as running away from the debate”, he said.
He added that he was still game and willing to debate the issue anytime and anywhere.
