Trader hurt after metal roller gate falls on her

A WOMAN trader in Lukut, Negri Sembilan, was injured when a metal roller gate fell on her as she was closing it, Makkal Osai reported.

K. Kamalam, 62, had just closed her stall in the Lukut market and was leaving the area at around 9pm on Tuesday.

As she was closing the large metal roller gate at the entrance, it fell on her.

She was rescued by a group of people who heard her cries for help.

The woman was treated at the district hospital for injuries to her hand and chest.

The gate apparently had a damaged wheel causing it to topple.

> Two devotees of the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Ipoh, Perak, lost a total of RM2,500 and a handphone after their cars that were parked near the temple were broken into last week, Makkal Osai reported.

In the first incident at around 7.30am, the car door was pried open and a woman lost RM2,000 and a handphone.

Another woman devotee also found her car broken into and RM500 missing after she walked her daughter to a nearby school.
