Accident-prone road claims another victim

KOTA KINABALU: A chemical engineer was killed after she lost control of her car and crashed into a tree along an accidentprone stretch here.

Michelle Eliza Johnny, 26, was said to be driving home after a gathering with friends during the 3.30am incident yesterday.

District police chief Asst Comm M. Chandra said the driver died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital more than one hour later.

Former Batu Sapi MP Datuk Edmund Chong Ket Wah was also killed near there when his superbike collided with a car back in 2010.

Numerous accidents have also been reported along the stretch over the years.
