It’s story time!

CALLING all little storytellers in Years Five and Six! So you think you can write? Take up the challenge in our Step Up Story time contest.

For this story writing competition, you need to pick one to four pictures from The Star newspaper. Then, weave a tale in 80 to 100 words based on those pictures. Tell us an amazing story - it can be thrilling, bizarre, hilarious or even heart-wrenching, so long as it relates to the pictures that you’ve chosen.

If your story grabs our attention, you may just win a 2D, 1N holiday trip to the theme park by Resorts World Genting! Consolation prize theme park tickets are also up for grabs. Schools with the highest entries will walk away with books from Scholastic.

To participate, look out for the contest template set to be published in the Step Up pullout on March 14 and 16, and in the Newspaper-in-Education (NiE) pullout on March 15.
