‘No more stock trading for me’

AWARD-WINNING Hong Kong actor Francis Ng Chun-yu (pic), in Malaysia to shoot a Chinese miniseries titled The Trading Floor,

was himself a victim of two stock market crashes and will never dabble in stocks again,

China Press reported.

“Every time I bought stocks, I lost,” Ng told a press conference in Cyberjaya when asked if he had experience in the stock market.

Ng, who incurred debts after losing a few hundred thousand Hong Kong dollars in the crashes, said he had to take on more acting jobs to pay them off.

The Trading Floor is jointly produced by Fox Networks Group and Tencent Penguin Pictures.

A representative from China’s Embassy in Malaysia said tourists should lodge police reports immediately if they lose their passports, and apply for a temporary pass from the embassy.

The report quoted sources as saying that Latin American syndicates are suspected to be behind the robberies.

The incident was highlighted by a teacher on Facebook two days ago and confirmed by the school’s principal, China Press said.

One student tearfully replied that if the Chinese themselves do not support Chinese education, future generations may not have the opportunity to learn Mandarin.

The person kept quiet when someone else made a donation, the teacher said.
