> Students from Chung Hwa High School in Kelantan were berated by an individual in Kuala Lumpur when approached for donations for their school recently.

The incident was highlighted by a teacher on Facebook two days ago and confirmed by the school’s principal, China Press said.

“It’s because of you Chinese independent schools and Chinese educationists that we have to learn Mandarin,” the person retorted.

The person kept quiet when someone else made a donation, the teacher said.
