United players could earn £ 4mil each if they net the biggie
Manchester United are planning to hand their mega-money squad the richest bonus pot in the club’s history. Red Devils stars in the past including Wayne Rooney would bank £1mil (RM5.6mil) a man if they won the English Premier League or Champions League. But it is understood the United squad will receive double that this coming season – netting £2mil (RM11.2mil) a piece. Old Trafford chiefs are thrashing out the terms of the deal behind the scenes for the coming campaign. The bonuses – £2mil each for winning either competition – will be on top of the £250,000-a-week (RM1.4mil) wages Romelu Lukaku takes home, for example. And it is believed the United squad will net a cool £90,000-a-piece (RM509,000) for winning the FA Cup, and £70,000 (RM396,000) for the League Cup. A United source said: “Plans are being put in place for the biggest bonus pot this club has ever seen. It’s huge.”
