Police and TNB Johor did good in cutting off power supply to 23 illegal gambling dens. Electricit­y supply to more dens will also be cut soon. So why are hundreds of gambling dens and many more new outlets in Selangor being allowed to operate 24 hours? – Two of a kind

Will the opinions of a wider group of teachers be taken before this decision is finalised? They know better what is going on in schools. Schools have been provided with netbooks. Why not use those? Then we won’t have to worry about disciplina­ry issues, theft, and students getting into mischief. We will also not have to worry about students who can’t afford to buy those gadgets having low selfesteem. Don’t forget, not all can afford those devices. – Izzad
