Youths can share thoughts on TN50 Youth Canvas
PETALING JAYA: Malaysian youths now have the opportunity to share their thoughts on the National Transformation 2050 (TN50) on the newly launched TN50 Youth Canvas.
The TN50 Youth Canvas is a digital report that outlines and summarises the aspirations of more than 1.7 million people that the Youth and Sports Ministry had reached out to this year.
A digital draft copy of the report can currently be viewed on the TN50 website ( www.mytn50.com/ kanvasbelia).
Youths can read about the issues highlighted and send their feedback and aspirations.
The TN50 Youth Canvas is divided into several categories: Dynamic Economy, Fulfilling Work; Education for the Future; A Fair and Cohesive Society; A Foundation of Health and Well-being; Responsible Stewardship of our Resources; Effective and Accountable Governance; and A Vibrant, Winning Nation.
Under each category, there is an introduction to the topic, comments and ideas from youths, and infographics on key points.
On every page of the digital report, users are able to submit their own thoughts to contribute to the individual topic or theme under each category.
In a section that asks youths to share areas in which they hope to see Malaysia as a Top 20 nation, the popular votes are Income Distribution, Human Development, Environmental Preservation, Quality of Education System and Gender Fairness.
The TN50 Youth Canvas is aimed at gathering final feedback on TN50 before the ministry’s report is finalised and presented to the Prime Minister next month.
It will serve as important input into the Government’s TN50 policy formulation work.
Youths can share their TN50 thoughts and ideas by interacting on the TN50 Youth Canvas page on the TN50 website or use the hashtag #ideaTN50 in their social media posts.
The deadline to submit feedback is Dec 31, 2017.
The public can also follow the TN50 Youth Canvas on its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the handle @myTN50.
