Million-ringgit crash as armoured van gets into accident

PETALING JAYA: An armoured van carrying RM4mil overturned following a collision with an MPV along Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang towards SS7 Kelana Jaya.

OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din said the accident happened at around 11.48am when the van swerved into the path of a Nissan Grand Livina.

He said the Nissan could not stop in time and hit the van. The impact sent the van careening towards the centre divider.

“The drivers of both vehicles escaped unharmed but two security guards in the van suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre.

“The cash in the van was retrieved and transferred to another armoured van after the accident,” he said.
