> A woman in Kajang, Selangor, claimed she was given only RM200 and a large umbrella by a politician when she approached him for help over her cattle farm, reported
Malaysia Nanban.
The woman, identified only as Sivakumari, 44, said she has been running the farm with her three sons. The farm under a bridge in Sg Tangkas, which she inherited from her family, has 25 cows and 26 goats.
Sivakumari claimed that officers from the Kajang council had asked the family to temporarily move into a vacant plot nearby while the bridge underwent maintenance works.
However, they were shocked to be served a notice by the council on March 2 asking them to vacate the land.
Three days later, Sivakumari alleged that council workers demolished the shed under the bridge as well as those in the temporary plot.
Ulu Langat MIC deputy Youth Chief Chandra Devan @ Nivalan was the only one who visited the affected family and promised to help them, she said.
