Taken away

An officer escorting a policeman who was remanded for a day for allegedly assaulting his wife. The remand order was issued by assistant court registrar Muna Maria Azmi for voluntarily causing hurt. Lawyer Cheah Eng Soon, who acted for the 41-year-old suspect, said his client was arrested at 12.30am yesterday in Lebuh Carnavon in George Town, Penang.
