Firdaus and Firdhaus chosen for F1 technician course
SEREMBAN: Two former vocational college students were chosen to represent Malaysia in the Formula 1 Motorsport Technician course in Italy.
The students would undergo automotive training for 18 months and also have the opportunity to work there, said German Industrial Skill Training Centre founder and CEO K. Kanagesan.
“Out of 10 applications received, we selected Muhammad Firdaus Abu Bakar from Datuk Seri Mohd Zin Vocational College in Alor Gajah, Melaka, and Muhammad Firdhaus Abdullah from the Langkawi Vocational College, to participate in the programme.
“The former Diploma in Automotive students are expected to leave next Wednesday,” he told reporters.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Firdhaus, 21, who learnt to repair cars at an early age at his uncle’s workshop, said the opportunity would help him fulfil his ambition of opening his own workshop. — Bernama
