Youth remanded after drugs found in buried jar
KUALA TERENGGANU: A small-time drug dealer thought he had found a great hiding place for his illicit ware.
However, he was unprepared for constant police questioning and buckled under pressure when they made him reveal where he hid the drugs.
On Monday, a team from the state Narcotics Crime Investigations Department raided the 20-year-old’s family home in Kampung Seberang Bukit Tumbuh in nearby Kuala Nerus at 3am after investigating the suspect for three weeks.
Police found a jar buried in a 0.3m-deep hole. It contained 40 vials of drugs, believed to be heroin, wrapped in four paper packages, said state NCID chief Supt Roslan Tahir.
The drugs are worth about RM20,000.
