Now, disabled fa­ther can go out, he’s got a new wheelchair

A DISABLED fa­ther in Lukut, Ne­gri Sem­bi­lan, has re­ceived a des­per­ately needed wheelchair from for­mer Teluk Ke­mang MIC chair­man Datuk M. Velu, Makkal Osai re­ported.

Narayanasami Munusami, 47, who lives with his wife Ra­jathi and three school-go­ing chil­dren, has been un­able to work af­ter los­ing his right leg.

Velu, who handed over the wheelchair, said they were also fac­ing fi­nan­cial dif­fi­cul­ties and promised to get them fur­ther as­sis­tance.

Ra­jathi thanked Velu and said her hus­band’s old wheelchair broke down some time ago and he had been stuck at home.

She had been work­ing me­nial odd jobs at nearby houses but it was still dif­fi­cult to sup­port her fam­ily.

How­ever, the baby man­aged to grab the handrail and pulled him­self from the mother’s grip.

The baby top­pled over the rail­ing, hit­ting the side wall and fall­ing to the floor be­low – to the shock of by­standers.
