Now, disabled father can go out, he’s got a new wheelchair

A DISABLED father in Lukut, Negri Sembilan, has received a desperatel­y needed wheelchair from former Teluk Kemang MIC chairman Datuk M. Velu, Makkal Osai reported.

Narayanasa­mi Munusami, 47, who lives with his wife Rajathi and three school-going children, has been unable to work after losing his right leg.

Velu, who handed over the wheelchair, said they were also facing financial difficulti­es and promised to get them further assistance.

Rajathi thanked Velu and said her husband’s old wheelchair broke down some time ago and he had been stuck at home.

She had been working menial odd jobs at nearby houses but it was still difficult to support her family.

Videos of the incident showed the young couple with the baby getting on the escalator and taking wefies

However, the baby managed to grab the handrail and pulled himself from the mother’s grip.

The baby toppled over the railing, hitting the side wall and falling to the floor below – to the shock of bystanders.
