MotoGP rookie Hafizh out to gain after the pain in Jerez

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Monster Yamaha Tech3 rider Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah is aiming to reconquer the top rookie spot in Le Mans this weekend.

MotoGP rookie rider Hafizh is back to full fitness and eager to challenge for points-scoring positions again following a very intense Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez two weeks ago where he suffered from pain following a bicycle incident.

“I’m looking forward to race in Le Mans and I want to do my best for my guys because they are all French, so it’s our home race with many supporters.

“I aim to continue in the best way like during the first three rounds.

Jerez was quite difficult after my bicycle crash at the beginning of the week.

“Now my pain is already gone and I am back at 100%, so I want to give a challenge to all the other rookies.

“I want to try to get as many points as possible. I hope I can come back as strong as before and I can’t wait to start this important round for all of us,” said Hafizh, who is 16th in the championship standings with nine points.
