Wee to challenge polls petition filed against his win in Ayer Hitam.

IPOH: DAP vicechairman and Ipoh Barat MP M. Kulasegaran will meet InspectorGeneral of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun soon to expedite the process of locating kindergarten teacher M. Indira Gandhi’s daughter Prasana Diksa.

Kulasegaran, who is also Human Resources Minister, said he believed there would be some results in the next two to three months.

“There is a court order for the child to be returned to Indira Gandhi and there is also an order for her former husband to be arrested,” he told reporters after attending the commemoration of the late Tun V.T. Sambanthan’s 99th birthday in Buntong here yesterday.

Kulasegaran said Indira’s former husband Muhammad Ridzuan Abdullah has been using the same phone number for years and the authorities are aware of it.

“He can run but he cannot hide. It’s un avoidable, we will get him,” he added.

On Jan 29, the Federal Court ruled in Indira’s favour, nullifying the unilateral conversion of her three children to Islam by Muhammad Ridzuan.

Formerly K. Pathmanathan, he converted to Islam in March 2009 before converting his children Tevi Darsiny, Karan Dinish and Prasana Diksa (now 20, 19 and nine years old) three weeks later without their knowledge or presence.

Soon after, he snatched the then 11monthold Prasana from the family home.

When contacted yesterday, Indira said she hoped the matter would be more transparent under the new government.

“For almost the past 10 years there was no news of her.

“I have a good feeling that I will soon see my daughter again,” she added.
