Cook healthy and win great prizes
Taste and presentation also important in choosing winners
PETALING JAYA: All home cooks who love serving up healthy food that tantalises the taste buds, it’s your time to shine!
Malaysians can showcase their cooking talent in the Live Great Healthy Brekkie Challenge, held in conjunction with the Star Health Expo 2018.
In collaboration with Sunway Le Cordon Bleu, the challenge would see participants preparing a healthy “no-cook” meal within the stipulated time period.
The first, second and third winners would win cash prizes of RM2,000, RM1,500 and RM1,000 respectively as well as other spon- sored items.
Celebrity chef Chef Wan would be among the esteemed panel of judges, which also includes DC restaurant chef-owner Darren Chin and Sunway Le Cordon Bleu technical director and cuisine chef instructor Rodolphe Onno.
Hosted by Onno, 12 to 15 shortlisted finalists would take part in the Live Great Healthy Brekkie Challenge held at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre on July 15.
On the challenge day, finalists are given 45 minutes to prepare a meal based on directions given, using ingredients from a mys- tery box.
Finalists would be judged based on the following criteria – healthiest, most creative, best flavour, best presentation.
Interested participants who are aged 18 and above must register online and submit a maximum 30-second video of themselves preparing a simple “no-cook” meal.
Shortlisted finalists will be informed of their participation via e-mail or phone call latest by July 9.

Star Health Expo 2018 with the theme “Get Fit. Live Great!” is to inspire Malaysians to lead a healthy lifestyle by being physically and mentally fit.

It will be held in Halls 1 to 3 of the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre from July 13 to 15, 2018.
