STUDENTS who are at a loss on what step to take post secondary can visit the upcoming Star Education Fair 2018.

The Star Education Fair will be held at Exhibition Halls 4 and 5 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 11am to 7pm on Aug 4 and 5.

Visitors will be able to meet experts on pre-university education from over 50 local and international colleges and universities.

These experts who are qualified counsellors and academic staff will be able to brief students and parents on a wide range of certificate, foundation, diploma and postgraduate courses as well as on professional qualifications.

Education and career-related talks will also be held at the fair on both days.

School-leavers who are confused and unsure on the next step can sit for a “Career Interest Test” managed by Berjaya University College.

Berjaya University College operations and events director Pilar Palma said: “This is an excellent way to explore jobs or career options for the future.”

“The test matches individual likes with that of careers,” she said, noting that the test comprises six interest areas, which include building (jobs involving the use of tools, machines or physical skill) and thinking (jobs involving theory, research and intellectual inquiry),” she said.

SPM and STPM school-leavers can also look forward to attractive discounts and scholarships that will be offered on the spot at the fair.

Some institutions will be offering financial aid, accommodation waivers and bursaries to deserving students.
