Participants delighted to receive their goodie bags
PETA LING JAYA: First time #AnakAnakMalaysia participant Chong Swee Teen was delighted to receive her goodie bag at Menara Star yesterday.
“I joined this event because of Malaysia 2.0. My husband and I were looking for events to join online and we are glad we decided to join this event to show our love for Malaysia.
“We are excited to see people gathering from all walks of life and showing their love for our country,” Chong, 38, said.
She joined hundreds of other participants to collect their goodie bags at Menara Star. Among them was a family of three who came to show their support.
UniKL lecturer, Siti Shariyah, 34, will be participating in the walk at Eco Ardence Sales Gallery, Shah Alam on Sept 2 with her husband, Mohd Hafiz, 34, and their daughter Maryam Jameelah, who will turn two in December.
“My husband, who is a government officer, was the one who found out about the event from his colleague,” she said.
Siti added that the goodies, especially the beverages given, were essential and appropriate for the walk.
