French girl speaking in Negri dialect a viral hit

-

A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD Parisian girl became a hit on social media for her ability to speak the Negri Sembilan dialect fluently, reported Metro Ahad.

Jade Nur Moulin (pic) is the third child of Malaysian Nurazimah Karim, 43, and Frenchman Nicolas Moulin, 48.

Nurazimah said raising her four children in Paris did not hinder her from teaching them Bahasa Malaysia.

“All my kids speak French and English but I wanted them to master our mother tongue so I usually converse with them in Bahasa Malaysia.

“My father is from Negri Sembilan and when I speak to him on the phone, I like to speak in the dialect.

“Jade likes to mimic the way I speak and that’s where she picked it up from,” said Nurazimah, who runs a travel and food business with her husband.

Nurazimah, who used to work in a bank in Kuala Lumpur before moving to Paris in 2001, did not realise that the video had gone viral and only found out when her Malaysian friends told her.
