Boy, three, left behind at restaurant

-

A THREE-YEAR-OLD boy was unwittingly left behind at a restaurant in Melaka after dinner with his family, reported China Press.

“My dad and mum have gone home,” he told the customers at Ikan Bakar Alai on Tuesday night.

The owner Irsyad Hadi Zainal, 32, said he carried the crying kid and went around looking for his family.

“Due to the large number of customers, we searched until he fell asleep,” he said.

Irsyad then learned the child had come with some 30 family members from Kuala Lumpur and must have fallen asleep during dinner.

The story went viral after a customer tweeted it.

Irsyad said he was on the verge of lodging a police report after almost two hours before he received a phone call from a man who claimed to be the father.

Around midnight, the 39-year-old showed up to take his son.

“As a precaution, I took the iden- tification number of the man who said he was the kid’s father,” said Irsyad.

> Chinese superstar Fan Bingbing, who is suspected of tax evasion by signing a “yin-yang” contract, is said to be under house arrest in Beijing.

There are also conflicting reports that she has fled to the United States, reported Oriental Daily.

The contract is so called because of its dual nature, with a public version stating her official pay and a confidential one a higher figure. China’s taxmen are probing Fan for her alleged part in the contract.

The X-Men actress has not appeared in public for two months.
