Petronas is top choice at Putra Brand Awards
KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas came up tops in the Putra Brand Awards 2018, showing that they are indeed the people’s favourite.
The oil and gas company snagged the top award at the Putra Brand Awards 2018 ceremony, otherwise known as the People’s Choice Award.
Other big winners of the night include Spritzer, who scooped up the Putra Enterprising Brand of the Year.
The Samsung marketing team also scored big when they bagged the Putra Marketer of the Year award and the Putra Personality Award went to Hurix’s founder Datuk Dr Pa Nok Ching.
KFC, Panadol and Vitagen were also inducted as the Putra Brand Icons.
Star Media Group was also recognised as one of the top brands in the Media Networks category, bagging the category’s silver award.
Awards organising chairman Datuk Johnny Mun said it is a “money can’t buy” award as it was voted by the public.
“Tonight’s award is not given by us or by anybody else, it is given to you by the people,” he told the audience of marketers and agencies at the Putra Brand Awards Gala Night 2018 in Majestic Hotel near here yesterday.

This year, the organisers partnered with global market research and consulting firm Ipsos and have compiled the largest brand research sample in Malaysia with over 7,000 interviews.
Launched in 2010 by the 4As in association with Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brands (MMVB), the Putra Brand Awards is supported by the Malaysian Advertisers Association, the Media Specialists Association and the Malaysian Digital Association.
