Shah Alam City Council urged to solve mosquito issue

RESIDENTS in Taman Glenmarie, Shah Alam, are urging local authorities to eradicate the mosquito problem, Tamil Nesan reported.

Resident K. Kaveri said the surrounding areas had not been cleared for a long time and were now clogged with overgrown shrubs.

This has made the area a mosquito breeding ground and may have caused recent dengue cases.

Kaveri said residents lodged complaints with the Shah Alam City Council, which in turn asked them to report the matter to the Public Works Department.

He claimed residents submitted several complaints and are unhappy that no action has been taken.

They called on Seri Setia assemblyman Halimey Abu Bakar and Petaling Jaya MP Maria Chin Abdullah to assess the situation.
