Towels and mineral water hot items at rally

-

KUALA LUMPUR: It was a day of brisk business for most of the traders who set up stalls outside the National Mosque, some as early as 4pm on Friday.

Azlina Othman, who brought 1,200 small towels with anti-Icerd slogans, each going for RM5, said her merchandise was sold out by about 1pm.

She said she had ordered the stock about a week before the rally.

“All three stalls completely ran out of the stock,” she added.

Mazlan Ibrahim, who hails from Tumpat, Kelantan, but now resides in Shah Alam, was busy giving out free mineral water to rally-goers who wanted to perform their ablution.

He said this was a way for him to show his support.

“I’ve been here since 4am to get a spot,” Mazlan added.

Sisters Rosnah and Khatjah Arishad set up their burger and drinks stall next to one another.
