Run for ruler joined by royal
SHAH ALAM: The Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, graced the “Larian Menjunjung Kasih 2018” run at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam here.
The event, which was into its fourth year, was held in conjunction with the 73rd birthday celebration of the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah this Tuesday.
The run was flagged off by Mentri Besar Amirudin Shari at 7.30am yesterday. The event involved the participation of more than 8,000 people.
Also participating in the five-kilometre run was the Mentri Besar’s wife, Masdiana Muhammad.
The organiser of the event, Selangor Sports Council, said in a statement that the run was organised to promote unity and a healthy lifestyle.
