Second gig for Siti at Royal Albert Hall

London stop part of four-country tour

DATUK Seri Siti Nurhaliza will stage a concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London next year.

This will be her second appearance at the famed concert hall, having performed there in 2005, Harian Metro reported.

The London date, scheduled for April 22, is part of a four-nation tour of Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Britain.

“Next year marks my 24th year in the world of arts. It is important for me to build a legacy which is memorable for me personally and for the local music industry,” she said.

> Kidney patient Muhamad Arif Harithah Hariul Nizam, 22, used to be bored while in the hospital.

Arif, who was diagnosed with the disease during his sixth semester at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Skudai, Johor, had to postpone his studies in electrical engineering.

But it all changed when his mother Zuriani Jasmani, 48, gifted him a betta fish or Siamese fighting fish to help overcome his boredom while in hospital, Kosmo reported.

It piqued his interest. Soon, Arif started a business after succeeding at attempts to breed a type called the halfmoon betta.

He now has a business in Duyong, Melaka, and owns some 500 betta fish that are sold from as low as RM5 and to hundreds of ringgit, depending on the colour, size and type. Arif sells about 300 betta fish monthly.

> He saw a tail in a chicken dish (ayam masak kicap) but thought that it was part of the gizzard, but it turned out to be a small rat.

Azmi Ali, 48, was so repulsed that he threw up in the sink, Harian Metro reported.

The fertiliser trader had bought the food from a stall in Batu Pahat on Tuesday.

“My entire family was so traumatised because my wife and two kids had eaten the chicken as well,” he said.

Azmi said he had informed the stall owner, who apologised to him.
