> Green Christmas

There is usually much use of energy during Christmas. But we must use energy prudently. Be pragmatic users, don’t waste. I also hope we use more LED lights that save energy and can make a dent in our monthly consumption. Merry Christmas, all! – M. Kaur

> Remember Aesop’s Fables?

The Star2 column by Mangai Balasegaram (“Humanity will triumph in the end”, Dec 23) will no doubt remind many senior citizens of the tales in Aesop’s Fables. I doubt if many young people have read these stories. To improve English in this country, we should advice students to read these tales. – R.P. Jarshan, Johor

> Proud of PM

The rakyat should be proud of having a 93-year-old as PM. Stop talking about toppling him. My wish is that Tun will be PM till he’s 100 years old. Hat’s off to you, sir, you have made Malaysians proud. – R.P. Jarshan, Johor

> Kids’ danger zones

Many parents and I fully agree with Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye that all children’s playgrounds must have safety audits. Far too many accidents have occurred involving children in playgrounds. – Hamdan
