Dragons will be on full alert when they take on the

Formosa Dreamers in the

Asean Basketball League

(ABL) at the Changua

Stadium in Taiwan today.

The Dreamers are second in the standings with a 10-5

(win loss) record while the

Dragons are in eighth place with a 6-9 record.

With 39% of their points come from three-pointers, the Taiwanese side will be a threat from beyond the arc and have a habit of grinding out narrow victories.

The Dreamers main attacking threat are Americans Malcolm Miller and William Artino. Power forward Miller is averaging 21.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game while centre Artino has 20.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.

But possessing the third best defence in the league, the Dragons will go all out with an eye for a victory.

“The Dreamers play with a high energy at both ends of the floor which wears teams down across 40 minutes, and they have a great balance of talent who play as a team,” said head coach Jamie Pearlman (pic).

“We will need to be disciplined when it comes to executing offensively because poor shot selection and turnovers by us will quickly turn into points in transition for them.”

The Dragons are also eager to keep the momentum after beating CLS Knights Indonesia 89-84 in a hotly contested battle at the Maba Stadium on Thursday.
