DPM: PKR and DAP firmly behind Bersatu

-

SEMENYIH: Allegations that PKR and DAP are not lending their support to Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia in the Semenyih by-election are baseless, says Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

The Deputy Prime Minister said it was also not logical for PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang to say that PKR and DAP would be at fault if Bersatu lost the by-election.

Dr Wan Azizah insisted that PKR and DAP are throwing their weight behind Bersatu in the campaign, as they were all in the same coalition.

Abdul Hadi previously alleged that PKR and DAP were not going to the ground to campaign for Bersatu in the by-election, adding that, if Bersatu loses, it is because DAP and PKR are not doing their share.

“Don’t blame us when it is DAP and PKR which are not going to the ground,” he said.

Dr Wan Azizah, who had been campaigning for Pakatan Harapan candidate Muhammad Aiman Zainali, further urged Semenyih voters to choose the coalition as the Selangor government also came under its administration.

“We know Selangor has been under Pakatan for a few terms, and now Pakatan is the government in Putrajaya.

“If there is a close relationship (between Semenyih and the state government), it will bring great benefits (to the people).

“Of course, the opposition will say whatever (they want), but the priority is to improve living conditions in Semenyih,” she said at a gotong-royong programme at Bandar Rinching Seksyen 6 yesterday.
