THE Malaysian Medics Internatio­nal (MMI) is organising the Making An Informed Decision event for pre-medical students.

MMI, a non-profit medical student organisati­on. said the aim of the event is to provide an awareness on the reality of medical school life to pre-university students contemplat­ing the medical profession.

It also aims to provide pre-medical students with valuable insights into life as medical students and doctors.

It is also to guide them towards making the right decision before entering the medical field.

At the event, participan­ts will be able to interact with individual­s in medicine such as house officers or specialist­s via its interactiv­e speech session to tackle the expectatio­ns of medical school and the challenges that follow.

There will also be Small Interactiv­e Group sessions to enable the pre-medical students to interact with medical students in a medical interview workshop as well as a question-and-answer session.

All pre-medical students are welcomed to take part in the event.

The Making An Informed Decision event will be held on March 17 at Hospital Sungai Buloh from 8am to 6pm. The fee is RM70.
