All eyes on SUVs at auto show
Visitors are spoilt for choice with variety of vehicles on display at event
KUALA LUMPUR: Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) and crossovers at the 2019 CarSifu Auto Show are drawing much attention from visitors what with the variety on display at Mid Valley Megamall.
The participating brands with SUVs on offer are Subaru displaying the Forester mid-sized five-seater SUV and the XV crossover, Nissan with the X-Trail Hybrid, Proton with the X70; while Honda features the HR-V RS variant, Mitsubishi (the Outlander) and Volvo with the premium XC90 and XC60.
Besides SUVs, there are 20 vehicles to get excited about, ranging from the latest budget and premium sedans to multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs). Other brands include BMW, Isuzu and Ford.
Visitors were also spoilt for choice in the pick-up truck department.
Isuzu is displaying its line-up of D-Max trucks including a new Z Prestige variant with new design cues as well as two accessory packages.
Ford brought its latest heavyweight pick-up contenders – the Ranger Wildtrak 2.0-litre Bi-turbo and the Ranger Raptor which is available in a new Absolute Black colour.
A cash rebate of up to RM6,000 is being offered for the Ranger Wildtrak while those who book the Raptor will receive an exclusive limited edition Ranger Raptor bomber jacket and car air purifier.
Mitsubishi has the Triton VGT Adventure X pick-up truck with the award-winning 2.4-litre MIVEC turbodiesel engine and Outlander SUV.
Visitors who complete a CarSifu survey will walk away with Himalaya Pastilles peppermint candy.
“It may seem strange for Himalaya Pastilles to participate at the CarSifu Auto Show but our purpose is to let people know that this peppermint flavoured pastille is not only minty but helps keep drivers awake too,” said its marketing manager Andrew Lim.
Families with children who visit the show during the weekend will be entertained by Cellworm Crax the clown.
The 2019 CarSifu Auto Show is organised by Star Media Group Bhd. Toyo Tires and Silverstone are the official tyre partners for the event as well as the Editors’ Choice Awards.
The auto show is taking place at Mid Valley Megamall at the Ground Floor Concourse, from 10am to 10pm daily until Sunday.
