Rendy believes in unconditio­nal charity

RELIGIOUS difference­s have not stopped singer Rendy Faliq (pic) from doing charity during Ramadan, Kosmo! reported.

Rendy said he and members of his Rendynatic­s fan club donated essential goods to the needy children of Rumah Titian Kaseh in Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur.

The 30-year-old, whose real name is Andy Baru Francis, is a Christian from Limbang, Sarawak.

“To help others, we should not put conditions on it – what more those based on race or religion.

“Personally, I have never had an issue helping those from other faiths,” he said.

Among the goods donated were tins of Milo, rice and milk.

During the 4.30pm incident on Sunday in Kampung Batu 1, Kemaman, Terengganu, the man was also thrown into a ditch.

A 37-second clip of the incident has since gone viral.

Kemaman district police chief Supt Mohd Said Ibrahim said the victim went to his ex-girlfriend’s house to borrow money but as soon as he arrived, the men started beating him up.

“The victim was punched in the face, beaten up and stepped on by the two men,” he said, adding that the victim received outpatient treatment at the Kemaman Hospital.

> A Myanmar man went into a rampage at a petrol station in Bandar Chukai, Terengganu, after being told off for trying to smoke, Harian Metro reported.

During the 9.30pm incident on Thursday, the man supposedly tried to light up at the petrol station when a customer told him off.

Kemaman district police chief Supt Mohd Said Ibrahim said after being told off, the man took the hose of a petrol pump and started swinging it around.

He also threatened to burn the petrol station down, prompting members of the public to flee.

After about 30 minutes, he was arrested.

The suspect, who is in his 30s, was believed to be high on drugs.
