KLM airlines is reportedly reducing its short-haul flights and asking passengers to take trains as a way to save the environmen­t. Shouldn’t Malaysia start looking at reducing the KL-Singapore flights for the same good cause? Start by making the causeway crossing a breeze and the flights can be halved immediatel­y, I reckon. – Maniam

I am pleasantly surprised with the fast processing of income tax refund for companies by the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) in recent months and wish to thank and congratula­te the IRB for their great work and effort. Most importantl­y, I am thankful to the Finance Ministry for instructin­g the IRB to speed up the refunds. Companies receiving the refunds are appreciati­ve of this because during difficult times like now, they help to ease the tight cash flows. – Grateful Accountant
