Mat Bunga is not a casanova

Man earns nickname from working as landscape architect

-

HE’S a 42-year-old man whose colleagues refer to him as Mat Bunga.

No, he isn’t Mr Casanova who’s always wooing women with flowers.

Instead, Muhamad Adli Salihin Samsudin is a landscape architect who is often invited to speak in workshops or on TV shows on the subject, Metro Ahad reported.

In fact, he carried out a landscape project at Istana Iskandariah (pic) in Kuala Kangsar, Perak, for the installation ceremony of the Sultan of Perak in 2015.

“I could not forget that experience,” he said, recalling the preparations which included the selection of proper plants.

The work took about a month, involving 40 staff members from the Perak Agriculture Department, said the father of two who studied landscape architecture at UPM.

> Despite having a well-paying job, an engineer who grew up poor has been addicted to stealing for more than 20 years, Kosmo! Ahad reported.

Ahmad, 31, started stealing at 10 years old from friends in school, where he was often teased for being poor and wearing worn-out uniforms.

“I know that stealing is bad but I feel happy when I’m able to buy food at the canteen, just like my friends.

“The habit continued when I went to secondary school. With the money I stole, I could buy new shoes and no longer looked poor,” said Ahmad, who is a father of one.

Ahmad started working as an engineer in Kuala Lumpur after graduating from university, where his habit continued.

“I’ve been stealing for 20 years and I classify myself as a professional because I never got caught,” he said.

He is now working towards breaking the habit after his wife found out about it.
