Corruption does not only involve the PDRM (Royal Malaysian Police). Weed out the corrupt developers and town and city council officers giving certificat­es of fitness to unfinished and uninspecte­d condominiu­ms. The MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) should also check court records when judges seem to favour developers and not the owners on such matters. – MCR

Stating that the haze problem has existed since the Barisan Nasional days is unacceptab­le. Don’t they know that prevention is better than a cure? Especially since the haze is an annual problem.

Kampung Baru residents in Kuala Lumpur should get a very fair deal from the government (“Govt offers RM850 per square foot for Kg Baru land”, Sunday Star, Sept 22; online at bit.ly/star_baru). They have been occupying the place for more than three generation­s. A win-win situation is the best solution. – Subra

The next generation demanded for a better environmen­t in the global climate change strike movement that took place on Sept 20. While we in Malaysia cannot even fight for a better fate for stray cats and dogs. Come on, we need to change.
