Fan Bingbing to be compensated for villa

CHINESE actress Fan Bingbing (pic) is expected to be compensated double what she paid for a villa which is being demolished by the government, reported Sin Chew Daily.

The villa in Qingdao was worth between 1.5 million and 6.4 million yuan (between RM9.21mil and RM39.27mil) and was supposed to be her home with ex-fiance Li Chen.

But the seaside villa, along with 41 other buildings were being demolished after they were deemed to have caused damage to coral reefs in the area, a Qingdao official revealed, adding that all owners would be compensated.

Sources revealed that the owners were expecting to be compensated double the amount they had paid for the properties or even more.

Hong Kong media outlet, caught the attention of netizens and was widely shared on Chinese cyberspace.

Fan had reportedly bought the villa in her hometown in 2016 in preparation for her

2018 wedding.

The wedding was called off after Fan’s tax evasion scandal.

She was slapped with a 880 million yuan (RM540mil) fine, now touted as one of China’s “biggest tax evasion penalties in history”.

“Yesterday was my first time sending gifts. Little did I know it would make the news so quickly. I had even wasted the money as he lost in the competition,” she said.

Chung said she was not doing it behind her husband’s back and that she had nothing to hide.

“I have my own Tik Tok account. Because I’m under self-isolation right now, I’m learning how to use Tik Tok,” she said.

Chung, along with Twins band member Charlene Choi, returned to Hong Kong from Malaysia last week after filming for the TV series Female Forensics Doctor JD was halted due to the movement control order.
