ACTOR Ashraf Muslim has revealed that he has tested positive for Covid-19, Berita Harian reported.

Ashraf, together with his co-stars, Puteri Aishah and Puteri Rayyana Rayqa, and director Rahila Ali tested positive after returning from an overseas drama shoot in Inverness, Scotland, last month.

The Demi actor said he was notified of his test results on April 12.

“I was devastated when I found out. But I surrender to God’s will,” he said in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

“I know there is a blessing behind this. To my family and friends, I am sorry.”

Ashraf also hoped that people would pray for him and other Covid-19 patients. However, the actor did not reveal details of where he would be quarantined and treated.

He also apologised to reporters and friends who had been trying to reach out to him and hoped that they understand his current predicament.

“Not forgetting the frontliners, such as doctors, nurses and everyone involved. Thank you very much. You are our heroes,” he wrote.

> The daily also reported that actor Nazim Othman got himself tested for Covid-19.

The 35-year-old, who tested negative for Covid-19, did not have any symptoms.

Nazim uploaded a video via Instagram of his screening done in a private hospital recently.

“I decided to get myself tested for Covid-19 just to be sure. I got scared after reading the news about this dangerous virus. I became worried and uncomfortable.

“I was unable to sleep the past few days because of my panic (attack),” he said.

He was worried that his immune system would be compromised due to the lack of sleep.

Nazim said although he did not have any symptom, he was shocked when he was told that he had a fever during his drive-through screening process.

“Thank God, the test results turned out negative,” he said.

I know there is a blessing behind this.
