King and Queen convey Kaamatan greetings

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandaria­h have conveyed Kaamatan greetings to all the people celebratin­g the festival.

“Kotobian Tadau Tagazo Do Kaamatan. Happy Harvest Festival to all our friends in Sabah.

“May you enjoy an abundance of health, wealth and prosperity,” Their Majesties said in a post on the Istana Negara Facebook account.

Chief Secretary to the Government Datuk Seri Mohd Zuki Ali also conveyed his greetings to civil servants celebratin­g Kaamatan.

“May the close relations among the people of various races, peace and harmony in the country continue to be maintained,” he posted on Instagram.

Kaamatan is celebrated every year by the Kadazandus­un community in Sabah as a gesture of gratitude at the end of the harvest season.
