THE 61-year-old bassist of a Japanese rock band has been turning heads whenever she is out and about in Tokyo, China Press reported.

Known as Junko, the musician for the rock band Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai has always captivated people with her youthful appearance.

She dresses no differently than the average 20-year-old.

Junko was recently spotted in public wearing a dark T-shirt, bangles and a turquoise-coloured watch while posing for a photo with a fan.

She posted on social media last week, recounting how a young man approached her and asked for her number.

Apparently, the man thought that Junko was as young as he was. “I’m 61 already,” she told him. Junko often performs at gigs with her two bandmates.

Their most recent concert took place at the popular music hall Zepp Tokyo in February.

>Taiwanese singer Rainie Yang was recently attacked by ticks while at work, Sin Chew Daily reported.

She posted Instagram images of red welts on her calf.

“Applying ice didn’t work. Cream did not work. The itch is so unbearable that I’m bleeding from the scratches,” said Yang, 36.

A frustrated Yang added that the ticks had even gotten up to her waist.

“How did they get up so high? It’s so itchy!” she wrote.

Summer months are known to be prime season for ticks.

>Singer Sammi Cheng was praised for her professionalism after a video surfaced showing how she continued to interact with her fans despite suffering a wardrobe malfunction on stage, Sin Chew

Daily reported.

Her gown had split at the back during a concert earlier this year.

Without making much movement, the Hong Kong singer gently grabbed the split parts with her left hand while carrying on with the show.

Her movement was so subtle that no one noticed the incident until someone posted a video online.

Many of her fans took to social media to praise Cheng, 48, for being professional in the face of such an awkward drawback.
