PETALING JAYA: In a bid to care for the public’s mental health, the Crisis Relief Squad of MCA (CRSM) has launched a “GoCare Share Zone” campaign to encourage people to submit their artwork with attractive prizes awaiting them.

Under the campaign, the public is encouraged to submit their creative creations such as photographs, clips, arts and crafts, posters, drawings, songs and other work on its Facebook and Instagram page in a bid to spread positivity and to care for the people’s mental health amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

MCA Youth chief Datuk Nicole Wong said the pandemic has already affected the education sector where it prevented children from going to school normally.

“With the GoCare Share Zone, education bodies may participate and encourage children to learn to contribute their energy and ideas to the community.

“The campaign does not require anyone to step out of their house, and could be done entirely at home, which also presents a challenge for people to be creative in order to finish the artwork,” she said.

The “GoCare Share Zone” campaign was launched on the Go Care Facebook page yesterday with Wong and Terengganu CRSM chief Poh Cheng Haw in attendance.

Also present during the Facebook live event were teachers from various education centres notably Woodieland Montessori Preschool, Creative Art Therapy Malaysia, Eco Swimpool, Genius Mind Education, Tadika Bidadari Ceria (HappyKids) and Tadika Komputer Cerdik.

Poh hoped more education bodies would join in to promote the event and to encourage children’s participation in it.

“It is also to give exposure to these education bodies through collaboration with GoCare. We welcome more educational partners for our Be MY Hero Awareness Campaign to help everyone get through these tough times together,” he said.

The campaign, which began on Jan 12 will run till Feb 28, while the “like and share” part of the campaign runs between Feb 2 and March 5.

The top 10 submissions with the most “likes” will win attractive prizes, while all participants will receive an e-Certificate.

The top 10 artworks will be announced on March 5.
