Couple’s happy day dashed by positive Covid-19 results

A LOGISTICS supervisor in Petaling Jaya has to bear RM15,000 in losses when he couldn’t go on with his wedding in Raub, Pahang, after he and his bride tested positive for Covid-19 a day before their big day, Harian Metro reported.

Muhammad Azizi Sahril, 27, said everything had been prepared on Jan 2 for what was supposed to be a happy day for him and his fiancee but they resigned to the fact that they had to postpone the wedding.

“I was already at my fiancee’s hometown in Raub with my family when I got the results of my Covid19 test,” he said.

Azizi said he was also worried for his fiancee and her family when he learned that three of her family members, including her, also tested positive and were treated at Hospital Raub.

“I wasn’t too worried about myself as I was more concerned for both our families who travelled far to help with our wedding,” he said.

Hotel Darul Makmur manager Mansor Mat Isa said its signature nasi lemak pandan and bunga telang were being sold at a kiosk in front of the hotel.

“We wanted more people to try these dishes which are only served at our hotel’s cafeteria,” he said.
