Mawar knows biz world not all roses

ACTRESS Mawar Rashid (pic ) has worked hard to prove that she is more than just a pretty face and all that effort has come to fruition as she celebrates her business’ first anniversary, Utusan Malaysia reported.

The former Dewi Remaja pageant contestant said she was not taking it all for granted and was also not banking on just her star factor to make sure her business continued to bloom.

“I learned a lot in the business world.

“In the beginning, I made rash decisions because I didn’t know better and realised that if I didn’t learn the ropes right, things would be even more difficult.

“With the right knowledge, you can handle any business well,” she said.

Mawar said she spent time and money on intensive business courses and was encouraged by her family and friends, especially her husband Raden Faizal Yaakob.

Although business is going well, Mawar said it would be a while before she became a millionaire.

“That dream is far off, but who knows, if prayers of me becoming one are answered, I would be able to help others out there,” she added.

Traders like Muhammad Nur Syazwan Azmi, 22, said business this year had suffered ever since the authorities put a stop to breaking fast in the open.

“We promise to make sure the public follows the SOP,” he said.

Another trader, Fazal Basri, 30, said facilities such as prayer areas and mobile toilets were also available to those who wanted to break their fast in the open.

“We’ve also prepared tables and chairs so they can break their fast comfortably,” he said.
